Major Feature Changes
New Reading Window for ReadingBar
- The reading window had been completely redone in ReadingBar in order to increase functionality.
Full Sidebar controls allow for ease of use in playback.
ReadingBar is now fully multilingual in English, French, German and Spanish
- Every aspect of ReadingBar has now been updated to match the above languages. Install, all options, toolbars and help are
fully translated. Additionally, there are now multiple voices in each language available for sale.
ReadingBar now supports a select number of VXML tags
- Voice Extensible Markup Language allows for websites to have a wide variety of customization including changing the
reader, volume, and rate. A sample is up at www.readingbar.com/vxml but the possibilities are tremendous.
A book site could easily be setup to read a play customizing the readers as it goes.
A new size of the Toolbar has been created called Huge.
- The Huge toolbar is ideal for the visually impaired. It is much larger and easier to see without requiring a special
resolution adjustment.
New AT&T Voices are now available
- A large selection of new voices has been added to ReadingBar and ReadPlease Plus 2003 these voices are:

A new special scripting language has been added to ReadingBar called ReadPlease CommandScripts (RPCMD)
- The new scripting language allows website designers to add buttons to start playback and control the various aspects
of playback. Our new Reading Window is possible thanks to these features. For samples of the feature please see

Minor Changes
- Support for Flashpeak.com's popular SlimBrowser.
- Reading Window can now begin playing from any location in the data.
- The directory structure has changed to enable for easy upgrading in the future.
- New functionality added to Fast Forward and Backward using all voices.
- A new Registration Key system has been implemented.
- The Zoom Feature is now "sticky" meaning that settings are maintained while browsing the web.
- PDF conversion to Text has been relocated to the view in Plain Text option to simply the user experience.
- The exclude characters have been adjusted, "/" and ";" are no longer allowable
